How old are you? If you are serious about this you will have to go to college. And get a job to buy your own fabrics and stuff. That's what other people do who want to succeed, they start out doing the grunge work and move their way up. And stop talking like that, no wonder your Mom won't buy you fabrics, you sound ignorant. And she probably knows that it will be a waste, this is probably a phase you are going through and you'll move onto something else next week. If you really want to do this, prove it to everybody by putting in the hard work it requires. Good Luck.

First off, stop talking like that. Your little picture says your white. So lets not use Ebonics. Second, if you want to be a fashion designer and you really believe you can then go for it.

Your mom is right, fabric is expensive, especially for you to use for practice. If you get an allowance use that money for fabric and supplies.

Why don't you show her some of your designs and talk to her about how you're planning on turning them into a reality? Try getting her interested in it.
