It depends on the model of the camera really. Some cameras today are both a video, and still picture camera in one. However, it should be digital. I would never buy anything that is under 3 megapixels, if it is a video camera. Alot of video cameras have lowe megapixels, which means bad quality pictures.

You can copy files to CD if your CD drive has a writer. Now a days most of the CD drives are RW i.e. Read/Write but few years ago they were RO i.e. Read Only. If your drive is a read only drive, you won't be able to copy those files to CDs. To check whether you have a Read Only or RW drive, you can go to Start then Control Panel. Then choose System. Within that click on Hardware tab. There click on Device Manager button. Look for DVD/CD-ROM Drives list. Expand the list. It will have your CD drive. If it has "CDRW" word in it, then it is a writer also. If it is a CDRW you may need to buy CD burning software such as Nero etc. Then you can back up your files.

No. Unless you're willing to spend over a thousand dollars for a top-of-the-line camera. You're better off buying the still camera seperately.

No. Just how a Camera doesn't take good movies. They are always low quality.

Mine doesn't. They are grainy. Much better to plug it into your computer and grab screen shots.

Even better, have a camera for stills and a movie camera for motion.
