There's this guy I used to work with, I haven't been able to stop thinking of him for 8 months now. We're both really shy, but when we look at each other, I can feel the connection, and there's been other hints like he used to walk around my desk a lot. I've asked around and apparently he hasn't dated for a couple of years, he was hurt. Plus, he works a lot. I decided to start im-ing him, but he's not very conversational, he seems to be more shy around me than everyone else. I want to ask him to do something but I can't gauge how he feels, also I know he has a lot of personal stuff on his mind too, so I always feel like I'm bothering him with my school girl crush. Do you think there's enough evidence he likes me to go out w/ me? Or should I forget it? I really really like him.

Tell him your really really like him! 8 months is a long time! Who knows, he might be one of these other avatar boys asking the same thing about you! I say go for it, be gentle, and tell him how long it's been since you've liked him, if it's appropriate. Good luck!

Just ask him out! I've often said, "Oh, to be 21 again and know what I know now."

Rejection is a tough thing for may people to deal with. You almost have to get to the point where you don't care about the response, but the problem is you already do.

Age, wisdom and experience have taught many lessons, the first of which is this: Don't die thinking, "If only...." Take a shot. Really, what do you have to lose?

If you dont proceed with this you will never know. He is probably shy around you because he like you as much as you do him.
Men hate rejection. Thats why most men dont just walk up to a women and start up a conversation.

You really have to consider just sitting down with him and having a face to face conversation. Hemming and hawing around doesn't really give either of you anything to sink your teeth into.

You're both very, very shy. Such thing won't let you get together at all, so it's either you muster your courage and invite him to lunch or dinner or you keep-off him for good. It seems that he doesn't have such courageous attitude.

I say go for it. The worst that can happen is that he is unavailable or not looking for a relationship. Let's face it, if you don't , you will wonder what could have been!!! Good Luck.

You gotta do what your heart tells you to do, dont be afraid to approach him, and when you do, be as sweet as you can be. If he has any smarts, he'll fall into your arms
