I grew up speaking English.
Studied Spanish in high school for four years.
Have taken six semesters of German in college. Have also taken two semesters of Italian and French, four semesters of Latin, two semesters of Ancient Greek, two semesters of Russian, and have studied a bit of Icelandic in my spare time.
I have a passion for languages and am lucky enough to pick them up easily. It is difficult to pick a favorite. English has a depth that often goes unappreciated, due to the number of words added to it over its history from other languages. German is the second language I speak best, and I enjoy the way it sounds (most German speakers do not have the harsh accent too often heard in movies and television shows, but a gentle one). Icelandic has the most beautiful accent I have ever heard, followed closely by Russian, but both languages are extremely difficult to learn. Italian is the easiest to pronounce, both in spelling and in word structure (vowel-consonant-vowel), with Spanish being a close second. And everyone knows that French is the language of love, but it is extremely difficult to understand for a novice due to the similarity of many sounds.
If I had to choose a favorite, I suppose I would go with Icelandic for its beauty, but I have to admit that I don't speak it very well at all.

Yes however. When you're within the English language phase you need to use English, within the Spanish phase, Spanish and many others. and many others. You could not reply an query published in English in a different language that could be a contravention.

Definitely German because its not a major language, so you can speak to someone else in german and not be understood by many.
