Nothing is cute about being boney. Perhaps the skinny girls you know that want to lose weight or obsess about their weight have an eating disorder. Most eating disorders have an aspect of body image distortion. These skinny girls may look in the mirror and see fat.

Low self esteem, they may also feel a sense of power by losing weight and being skinny. But what they should really be focusing on is why they feel a loss of control in their lives and look below the surface rather than trying to sort out their problems by dieting down to unhealthy weights. HTH.

I'm not a skinny girl but more then likely their goal is to look toned,sleek,and sexy they just get boney becouse they lose the weaight but dont rebuild it with some mucle

Skinny girls want to lose weight because they see themselves as being fat. Imperfections can have a big impact on peoples lives. When I was thin, I thought I was the fattest person on Earth.

nothing is. i'm skinny but i wanna gain weight cuz i look in the mirror and think i am too skinny. it eat alot it's just that i have a high matabalisom. i hate when people call me too skinny cuz it's not something i can control

They get reassurance from their tv, men, clothing designers, and the general population. wouldn't you agree that skinny or pretty people get treated alot differently than an overweight person? they are just adopting to the culture and trying to stay on top of it so they can get the best advantages

Skinny is so relative. What one person thinks is skinny, another might think is average or even a bit chubby. Or maybe they're anorexic and their view is distorted.
