It would have to be a graudual weight lose and not a super fast one I would say if you lost between 40 and fifty lbs within 2 to 3 months your skin will gradually tighten back up. But make sure that you lose it gradually. To help aid in wieght lose, drink plenty of water. Water actually increases the amount of calories your body is able to burn and flush out of your system.
Good luck!

To avoid flabby skin consume good fats and massage flax oil on skin if needed. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

I was 16. I had a bout with overweightedness in those days, but a year after, lost it again. I did not have excess skin. However, I do believe that if you loose weight too fast, your chances of having excess skin is alot bigger. Your skin is not able to keep up with your body's constantly morphing state. The key is to loose weight at a controlled pace. If you loose about 2lbs a week, you will be fine. You should never push your body to loose massive ammounts of weight in such a short time, unless it is for medical emergancy.

Hi at the age of 16, the skin is still elastic enough to go back to normal. If one waits until older, the skin loses it's elasticity and sags after weight loss. It also can depends on your skin type, but most likely it will be fine.
The earlier the person loses the weight the better, skin and health wise.

At 16 your skin should be somewhat resiliant. If the weight is lost as slowly as it was gained, you shouldn't be flabby. Also if you lose the weight through excercise and increasing your metabolism rather than just decreasing your caloric intake you'll get better results.
