My venus fly trap has not caught the fly that has been buzzing about here for two days. What gives?

it only takes in flies when it needs too. It does not always need them. I hope you are giving your venus fly trap distilled luke warm water. Try doing this and it should be more incline to eat the fly.

Either the fly has not landed on the plant or it has not given it the right stimulus for a reaction. The sensitive portion of the plant needs to be touched twice to instigate plant closure.
