No 40th is wrong .100 threads of hair are normal to fall in one day but if you are in the growing age it's about 100-140 threads of hair.

How many hairs do we lose each day? According to Drs. Tran and Sinclair, most people think they lose only about 10 to 20 hairs each day. But they're way off the mark. Instead, it "is normal to lose 50-200 hairs each day."

For the average person it is normal to lose up to 100 hairs per day. This average does not include actual body hair but is accurate for the hair on your head. Furtermore, if you are losing more hair then that per day, you should contact your docter or use streangthing shampoo.

Hope this helps!
