The fifth one, definately; it's darker than the first four, and deeper too. The sixth isn't very good, but the fourth is the best for younger kids.

e book: Harry Potter and the a million/2-Blood Prince action picture: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone all the books have been a extensive portion of my youth, so I do love all of them. I want the 1st action picture to the others because of the fact i assumed that Richard Harris did a impressive interest. His voice and interpretation of the situation grew to become into precisely how I imagined Dumbledore to be whilst analyzing the books.

Half Blood Prince would have to be my favorite, for sure. I've always been interested in what makes Voldemort tick, and of all the books, HBP explains his past and some of his motivations the best. I love the new characters, and the development of the old and beloved ones. It had a lot of interesting twists and turns, and I came to love my favorite character, Dumbledore, even more for his flaws.

Goblet of Fire, without a doubt. It is super emotional, full of action, and The book where Harry really starts to become a wizard.

the second one (chamber of secrets)
It's been ages since I read them all but reading this one at night with the snake chanting "kill, kill" and then reading about the cat and the blood and everything... that was creepy a bit.
Also, the professor of dark arts in this one was too funny. And the whole of it was more interesting than the other books.

The first one. In large part because of the tone and I was reading the series to my daughter and it was a decent book to be able to read to her. They got darker and more unnecessarily complicated as they went along.

The Prisoner of Azkaban-because I was so happy that Harry and Sirrius were united and he finally had family that cared about him.
