If Jehovahs witness are the true church then why is there no mention of them in the Bible. Why didn't Yeshua tell Peter to start the yahweh witness? Why did the disciples and apostales teach a diffrent version of church doctrine then what the Jehovas witness teach? Why is it 1900 years went by before anyone started to teach the message of the Jehovas witness?

(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah

(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.

(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus

(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”

Interestingly, self-described "tormentors" have had little success against true Christians:

(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

There was no mention of any present day religious sect in the bible. Catholics, Protestant, Jehovah's Witnesses...any Christian sect did not occur until after Jesus' death. Not right after either, the official churches took a a loooooong time after his death, building up their power etc...
But the Jehovah's witnesses formed after all of the modern churches were formed. It started because people started to see and not like what they were being taught in their home churches. The hypocritical things they were told to believe, so they got together and decided to live by the bible, as God told them to. check out this site if you want to know more http://religiousmovements.lib.virginia.edu/nrms/Jwitness.html

This was a ??? with comments pertaining to Kip about 2 months ago. This guy is not a minister. Do a search on rev kip, the only thing this guy has on his brain is "hate"

Do you really know Rev. Kip? Do you know he's a hibitual liar with a long criminal record?

I thought I knew Rev. Kip very well, it turns out I knew nothing but lies. For everyone who likes the Rev beware. He's not who you think he is. I am pregnant with his child, and was unaware that he already had another girl living with him and already had a child born in February. He also has three other children by two other women. He is not a real reverend, and he has a severe mental problem. Do you know why he hasn't been on Yahoo Answers for a few weeks? His ex-fiance moved out and took the computer. He goes by so many aliases on Answers and most of the questions asked about him were from him.

If I would've known the things I know now, I would've never been involved with him. He speaks of God to everyone and doesn't follow what he preaches.

I want to make a warning to all the women who have been emailing him in the hopes of a relationship, DO NOT believe a word he says. He is very cunning on the outside, but pure evil on the inside.

I didn't meet him on Answers, he lives in my apartment complex. He was the groundskeeper here. Trust me that I am telling the truth. I trusted everything he told me, and when his ex-fiance and I spoke this evening, we both knew we had been lied to. He is mentally disturbed and his own parents want nothing to do with him.

Asker's Rating:
Thank you for the kind words. I had no idea what was going on. The fake Rev. Kip is very sneaky. He even had my own mother fooled. I found everything out through someone who lived in his building. He spent four years in prison for beating a girl so badly he kept her for three days. He's evil.

Bill wasn't joking at all. I'm the one who wrote what he posted on his answer. I am pregnant with his child. I am now 35 weeks. I have had to call my local police to have him stay away from me as he was harrassing and stalking me. He does have a mental chemical imbalance, and he is a hibitual liar.

The reason Kip hasn't gone to the police is because he is on probation for two more years. One screw up and he is back in prison for the rest of his term

I am not a JW, but feel you might want to research this a little deeper before you make such a claim.
Isaiah 43:10 in the KJV Bible reads as follows:-
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."
Where the KJV reads LORD it is refering to Jehovah, and I believe the New World Translation actully uses the name Jehovah. Hence they call themselves Jevoah's Witnesses as per the Bible.

The JW's are nothing but a brainwashed cult. They can't be the true church, since they've changed their name so much, I wonder if they even remember it. Their doctrines too. Their leader, didn't like the King James Version, so they have their own bible to prove their lies. They've recanted getting organ transplants, and now they can. Everyone I know has been messed up mentally by them. Trying to defend a religion that's only been in existance for about 45 years? Get real. Any way, God's name is:
"I AM" or Yahweh, and not Jehovah. It doesn't mean the same thing.

Hey Rev., I take you aren't a Catholic, so I'll ask you if any Protestant faith is the "true church", why did Protestanism not even exist for 1500 years after Christ's death? Why can't Protestants get their act together and decide on "one true form" of Protestanism instead of the 30,000 kinds that exist around the world today?

The only honest Church is the Church of the FSM.

very valid point

but how about twisting it to make you uncomfortable?

are you sure that Jesus wanted to make a Church to begin with?
what if he just wanted to change some things about his own religion. He called the Pharisees Hippocrates. To be a hypocrite that means that you must be doing somethings right and others wrong.

he also preached morality and human kindness. Maybe what he was saying is keep all the laws and customs but dont forget about kindness to your fellow man.

just a thought...

First of all they are not a cult. Second of all you need to do your own research before asking a question. God's name is Jehovah, therefore they are Jehovah's Witnesses. If you get to know one instead of judging them by their title, you might be suprised.

I invite all readers of this 'thread' to consider two things :

1. The questioner claims that there is no mention of Jehovah's witnesses in the Bible, but the Jews were well aware that Jehovah had already called them His witnesses :

"Ye are my witnesses", saith Jehovah, " ... that I am God." Isaiah (43;10-12)
"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth." (Ps 83:18)

"Christ Jesus, who as a witness made the fine public declaration before Pontius Pilate." (1 Ti 6:13)

" ... Jesus Christ, 'the Faithful Witness' " (Rev 1:5)

"Because we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us ... put off the weight that easily entangles us, and ... run with endurance the race ... set before us." (Heb 12:1)

Who did Jesus tell his followers to worship?

"In reply Jesus said ... : “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service." (Luke 4:8)

“Teacher [Jesus], which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” He said ... “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ " (Matthew 22:36-39)

2. Consider the *definitions & explanations of Propaganda* -- found both in Scripture, & on the following Web pages -- as they compare to this questioner's tactics :

"Let no one seduce you in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first". 2Th 2:3

" ... they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of ... seeking to establish their own [righteousness], they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. Ro 10:2,3
