It is hard.... but it is not as hard as some of you have made it out to be... if someone is really determined to be here legally and go about it the right way.... they will, and they will get their papers.... I did... I had to wait in line and pay all the fees, not work illegally, pay taxes etc.... some people just want an easier life the easiest ways possible.... and no you don't need a house and a lot of money in the bank like someone said.... you need money for the fees.... you need to show you don't be a burden on society.... but that's about it.... and of course you need a reason to be here..... family based, job based, amnesty based, whatever reason, but it can be done, but some people like the easy way out....

Well as a mexican you have two choices. You could sit idly by and watch as your family goes hungry and your children are destined to repeat the vicious cycle of poverty. Or you can get off your tuckus and risk the journey over. It is not an easy process to legally come to the US. I have a cousin that was trying to apply for citizenship and I was told it would take ten years, and thats with a sponsor. It can take years, and that is time that many people dont have. I constantly hear you bunch of rednecks complain "Why can't they do it LEGALLY? Well if you were in their shoes maybe you would do the same.

It's like anything: There are rules. There are certain parameters to meet before being able to enter this country legally. See, the illegal immigrants (not JUST Mexicans, but ALL of them) think that it is right that if you can't follow the rules, or meet the requirements, then you should just be able to do what you want to anyways. How much fun would tag be if you were "it" and tagged someone, and they said they weren't "it" because it wasn't fair that you ran faster than them and could catch them? Answer - there would be no playing tag.

Basically, there are reasons that there are requirements to meet to enter this country. If you don't meet them, then you shouldn't get in. End of story.

Because the process to come through the front door is nearly endless. Know how long it takes you every time you have to get your license renewed and you have to deal with government buracracy?? Imagine what it must be like getting a green card and entrance into the country.

Some immigrants in the United States have been here for decades, and still not citizens

Why don't you go and research this. Most of the people are going to lie anyway or just answer for points. And it's not just mexicans so don't just say that because the majority of them are mexican.

Many Mexicans and for that matter many illegal immigrants don't want to become US citizens. They just want access to decent paying jobs.

YES it's that hard.. Would you really think that mexicans would risk their lives and homelands if there was an easier way?

Who would jump the border if the US was welcoming.

They always prefer the criminal approach to things. The front door thing would be honest and that is just not something they want to be.
