I've always felt rather hinky about throwing the Bible away.
Well............except for the book of Mormon........we got them and Jehovah's Witnesses circling our house like vultures!
I have many different versions to refer to, so I doubt I'd ever get rid of any of them, however, should it come to pass that I would feel the need to streamline my bookshelves, I'd more than likely donate to charity those copies I was looking to get rid of.
What about you? Do you have a hard time with it?

Yes. I've given them away, can't throw them away. I see your name is Colts fan. Maybe you live in Indy too? It's a good thing because I don't think the Pacers will be that great this season...

They should. The correct thing to do, according to ancient Church canons, when wanting to "get rid of" holy things such as Scriptures, was to carefully and reverently burn them. This may seem counter-intuitive in our modern culture, but it is the most respectful way to go about it, especially as compared to tossing it into the trash bin with dirty, filthy, and unwanted garbage.

Yes, at a yard sale, my mother just gave them away to anyone that wanted them. It just feels wrong to sell them or throw them away.
