As long as the color matches well with the rest of the house, it doesn't really matter. Unless the community association says otherwise. But in Feng Shui, color of a front door is really important, but that's a whole different topic.

Not sure but I hate when people paint just their front door bright red, it's so tacky.

it depends maybe the mood.but it does't go with the color of your house, then that might look weird.
