I read the question out of a sense of curiosity. I am a Christian, and check many of the religious posts to see what different answers I'll find. You've got the high school athiest mentality who just wants to say "Christians r stupid cause they can't think 4 themselves lol". They give no meat to their answers and are obviously trying to get a rise out of people, because some Christians get so ruffled up about it. Second, you get those Christians I just mentioned. "We the Sheeple" who spout off annoying quotes and Christian cliches which gets (at best) a half-hearted chuckle out of someone because they can't believe this person is embarassing themselves. Then you find the non-Christians who do offer reasons and provoke thoughts. Although they may not want to understand Christianity, they do want to understand why a person would think to accept Christianity, when it does not make sense in their worldview. I have respect for this catergory. And then you find the intellectual Christians who provide substance for why they believe a certain way, how it makes sense, and they use logic and reason (Logical Christianity is not an oxymoron, though many may think it to be).
So as I said above, I like seeing the intellectual Christian and non-Christian responses, and I roll my eyes at the rest.

I don’t think a single word would actually have snagged my attention. I think it is your inclusion of all three words that piqued my interest. I find it odd, and a bit disconcerting, that people this day and age think that evolution has theological consequences. I like to go into forums and debunk literalists who believe that the Christian faith is so weak that they have to discredit evolution in order for Christianity to have some credibility.
I think nothing, as a Christian, works to weaken my faith more than this form of literalism that makes those who are in the Christian fold look foolish. An intelligent Christian can maintain that both Christianity and evolution are true.

Astute observation. It's quite simple. I try to answer religious questions quickly by suggesting that the questioner is about to be bombarded by either inane and intelligible or intangible support via a proxy of some deity.
Or I quietly try to suggest that all religions have caused more pain in this world by spending "so much time" arguing over which is the greater truth, rather than actually just believing in themselves and getting on with it.
That's perhaps why they gain so much interest from answerers.

All three caught my eye. I think people are drawn to these words because these are topics that many feel very passionately about...whether they're for or against these issues. You know the saying that when you're in a conversation, avoid sex, religion and politics? There's a good reason for this saying! :)
Another hot topic that you could have included is abortion...with the strong feelings and current debates surrounding this issue, it's sure to draw a lot of people.

For me its the Atheism vs Christianity thing. I find it interesting that a lot of people assume that the answer must be one or the other of them. How close minded both sides seem to be! To assume that everything is so black and white...right or wrong...very strange. I am neither Christian nor Atheist but should I chose to argue for one the other will assume that I'm arguing agaist them...which isn't necessarily true.

I am an atheist, and thus feel that this question was directed towards me. I am also a logical person, and thus agree with the theory of evolution. Two out of three makes me well equipped to answer whatever question you might have asked.
