Going to a wedding by yourself is better, if there are single men of course!! Plus, there is no drama of dealing with the other person and you can dance with whomever you want. Trust me, going alone is better! If you really want a date, then you have to overcome your shyness and the best way to do that is to just do it, find a male friend that you can have a good time with but isn't totally like your brother and ask him to go and practice that way. Go up to people you feel comfortable with and start a conversation. Seriously, it isn't the worst thing in the world, but the grass is always greener.
**I assume you are a straight girl, but if you are not either, I apologize and just change it to your preference.

Absolutely not! Weddings are a great place to meet people. But if you would like to go with someone, ask a male friend or co-worker to meet you at the wedding and escort you. Ask them to be your escort and not your date. That will help you to be less shy and won't put any pressure on either of you. It's a fun event, free food, and drinks and usually dancing. If anything comes out of it, then that's great. If not, then you had a good time with a good friend.
If you're going solo, be sure to ask the bride in advance what single people will attend and if possible, can someone introduce you to them at the reception. Also, you can ask in advance if any of the groom's friends will be attending alone and if possible, would they like to be set up with an escort. Good luck!

Go and have a wonderful time! Hopefully it will be open bar! =) Haha. A wedding is a great place to meet new people and make contacts with good people that could help you in the future. As for the guys there...beware of the lonely groomsman looking to hook-up!!! LOL.

Going to a wedding alone is not bad. I did it this year a couple times. Besides it gives you an opportunity to meet some cute single guys without someone getting in your way. However, if it's important to you that someone come along, why don't you casually ask someone you meet, or a guy friend.

Don't worry. I went to a wedding last month ( a friend from High School). 3 of our good friends from h.s. were there, and none of them brought dates. Two are single, and the third just had a baby, so his gf was home with her. Most people are paying most attention to the bride. And catching up with people. I wouldn't worry about flying solo, besides, there's usually cute single guys there! Leaves you open to dance with them!

You don't need a date for a wedding. Nobody really cares. Stop worrying about it! If you eventually find someone to escort you, good, but if not, it won't be the end of the world :)

I'm sure you can pick up a handsome "best man" or one of the grooms men. Open up, stop being shy! Try socializing and making friends, remember sometimes guys are afraid too.
Go to the party and shake your groove thang and I'm almost positive you wont be alone! Have Fun!!!
