I would definitely take a portable DVD player so he/she could watch movies. ( barney, seseme stteet) and take crayons and coloring books

I'm assuming it might be a little too late for this, but you might also try timing the flight with right about where her nap would be, or even really early in the morning if possible (if she's not an early riser already--mine were at that age), that way halfway through or so she's ready for her nap. But if worse comes to worse, benedryl or even Dimetapp works like a charm. ;) Might also want to bring snacks and stuff. But plan on getting no sleep yourself, I'm afraid. Good luck to you. Been there, done that. It's not fun. Get good sleep the night before. lol

I had a bag that had little toys, and books on tape and picture books that the only time my daughter saw the stuff was when we traveled. She could play with it for HOURS. If you can...get a seat on the bulkhead...more room, so you can have them do toe-touches...and stretches...

The other alternative...ask your doctor what the dose is for Benedryl at that age...two reasons...one...makes them sleepy...two helps keep their ears open, so they aren't in pain with their ears. (Yes, I know...I'm the evil Mom...stand in line..I KNOW that.)

take snack packs, you know finger foods the little one likes. get some coloring books and little kid toys. i just came back from a trip with my 21month old daughter. good luck sweetheart. get lots of rest and remember that benadryl can be your best friend on a long flight with a little kid.

bring toys and staff she or he like I'm 16 and I play around kids that age and I'm think to work in a day care
