My golden retriever, Willow, is 7 months old. She can be very hyper in the evening because she is very quiet most of the day especially since she is alone while my bf and I work (I usually only have 2-3 hour shifts and am home between for awhile). If you have the energy and the time to manage them, then yes they are good dogs. But they don't grow out of puppyhood until age 2 or more. They are also in the top 5 list of smart breeds.

They are the best! I will never have anything but them, make sure you buy one from a reputable breeder! They are known to have cancer and other things. They do have a lot of upkeep. Need 45-1 hour exercise. They need to be groomed, and trained.

Yes, they are great pets! I just lost our family friend of 14 years Smiley our golden retriver. They are so very intelligent and have sucha good temperment. They are very lovable!

i love them!! they're good dogs and easy to train! thats why so many of them are blind guide dogs.
