well the thing is, is that looks r what first attracts the person so if u don't have good looks {or wtv the guy is looking for} then how do they really get to ask u out and then have a realationship where the looks really don't matter??? so pretty much i agree w/ u there except what if someone finds a person attractive but another person doesn't? so well that's all i got but have a good day and good luck in life!!!!!!

I agree, looks do matter to some extend. I wouldnt date an ugly person for example. I mean he doesnt have to be very good looking, but as we all know something in a person usually attracts, and the first thing we see is their phenotype.

To some people it matters to others it dont. Some people find other qualities to like in a person rather than looks.

I think because they don't want to seem superficial. But it is true, looks do matter. The problem is if the looks are the ONLY thing that matter. There has to be more to it than looks.

"looks do matter." People say that because they don't want to be perceived by others as "superficial." the truth is, it doesn't predict a good relationship and certainly can't sustain a relationship. Look at our beautiful celebrities and how messed up their relationships are. people are being raised to believe that beuatiful people make the best partner and neglecting to critically look at thier other characteristics.

We say that because we don't want 2 hurt ppls feelings, but ofcourse looks do matter. When you first see someone you are attracted to them bcuz of their looks, so y wouldn't they matter. Different strokes 4 different folks

agree. there has to be something to attract one to the the other in the beginning and it is hard to tell about soemones personality across a room. poeple like to pretend to better than that but the truth is we all know looks matter.

honestly, looks do matter, especially for the initial attraction. but to keep a lasting relationship, looks are important, but you cannot rely only on looks. two people should also be compatible, and like each other's personality, sense of humor, etc.

dont agree i think personality means more but ya you do have to be attracted to the guy but personality is more important then looks and if hes got looks then thats just a bonus and looks dosnt keep a relationship going its their personalitys and love for each other and how well they get along
