Why travel to the jungle and convert people who believe the sun is god? Christians would mock such 'primitive beliefs.' Is christianity not equally ridiculous?

the bible was written by man, and has changed in significant ways by man over the years. I bet most christians don't know that the some bible stories were added in the middle ages buy those who had the task of copying it by hand.

Inspired by the bible, why not be inspired by another religion?
- This question doesn't make sense. If I'm inspired by the Bible, why would I want to choose to be inspired by another religion? If this question is a request for legitamate answer, all I can say is that each person must ask themselves what they are "inspired" by and if it is the Bible so be it! If not, that's OK too.
Why travel to the jungle and convert people who believe the sun is god? Christians would mock such 'primitive beliefs.' Is Christianity not equally ridiculous?
- This question is worded somewhat negatively towards those who would be able to answer it for you which makes me wonder if you really want the answer or not. I can give my two cents and hopefully it will be of some value to you. Many people travel for various reasons and some Christians do travel to forgien lands to teach people about Christ. They do this as part of thier purpose for being. It is not for themselves they go, but fo others. They are servants. Christians don't "mock" anybody's beliefs anymore than they are mocked for thiers. It is a human factor that creeps in - Christians are still human and therefore still make mistakes. Christians beliefes are also very primitive. Some Christians might even argue that they are the most primitive beliefs known to man and that the truth has been laid out since the beginning before we ever had scrolls or the Bible or debate on any of these subjects. So, those who mock do so my human error, just as those who mock Christians. Those who travel to teach are fulfilling thier purpose, just as everybody would like to do.
I hope this helps make sense for you and helps you on your quest for knowledge. If you would like to discuss this further, just contact me and I can hopefully be available to serve you. Thank you the opportunity to discuss Christ and His people with you.
Be blessed.

I agree with where you are going with this. Religions were developed all over the world for ONE reason: To answer the unanswerable. They all have one common theme, an answer as to why we are here. Christianity is just one of many. I'm an agnostic becuase of this. Who's to say one is right over the other? There is no proof that christians are correct over Buddhists, over a so-called 'primitive' religion started by a tribe in a jungle.

I am inspired by a lot of religions. I don't really have a specific religion, but as long as you know that God is beyond anything we can ever comprehend and that He is the only one true Lord, then you should be okay. I don't like how religion separates people from eachother. I don't think any religion is ridiculious, except for satists. Did you know that they actually have a church of satin in America?

Actually, Christianity incorporates all of the then-known pagan beliefs. For example, it is the sunlight of the orb in the sky that 'walks on water' and that is why the 'Son of Man' was seen to 'walk on water.'
If you think about it, many of the vignettes in the gospels are simple, disjointed tales. The walking on water tale has nothing to do with what comes before it or after it--it is simply meant to help bring in all the sun-worshipers who needed that part about walking on water included in the religion in order to accept conversion.
Conversion is all about control. Once people's belief systems are converted, they are ready to accept $24 worth of beads for islands as big as Manhattan, send their sons and daughters to be slaves, work in factories for pittances, whatever.

yES IT IS! yES IT IS! yES IT IS! But wait, Equally ridiculous? I'm sorry but christianity is not really equally, it is so much less, for me it remains at the bottom, you see;. But that's just me, and I'm Kra-Z! No offence intended, but Karma works for me! Look here, with Karma as your guide, there are no books to try a read, no tripple meaning passages, no games, and nobody butt for which I must kiss. If you mess up you'll know, then it's over, and on we go, no problem, want to mess up again ? Go for it; pay the price and on we go! Do well over and over and off you go!Life is the two of you, nothing nor no one else is in us. No one else can be. We are born together Me and My Karma and we'll die together equally. Heaven & Hell? Who knows, who cares! Love is all you need.

Good question!
Think!!!!!!!
Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers
God? He or She?
Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
Does Imacculate Conception = "VIRGIN BIRTH"?
Google Imacculate Conception and learn something.
What else do you falsely believe, Immaculate Deception?
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Can Gods die?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.
If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?
If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.
Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.
Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.

Why be inspired by either the Bible or religion? Better to be inspired by humanity despite that inspiration being misplaced. PEACE!

because we have found the truth and to me their can only be one truth....or else what would there be a need for religion period.....God calls as He sees fit...some are called to be missionaries and we are to support them in His work...others are called to be Doctors and Nurses and Preachers...etc.....and once your eyes are opened to the truth you will realize that Christianity is far from ridiculous.....you see through a clouded glass so to speak right now.....I pray you will see clearly soon..
