i was online with my boyfriend, i hadn't talked with him in days so i finally contacted him online to say hi He was not talkative, meaning he was taking like 5mins for each line to answer. He gets his "ups and downs" and i knew not to ask why he was depressed right away because sometimes he just gets annoyed when i ask "why". So then i asked to see him for the weekend and he said "yeah".but when i asked when he was like "i'll let u know, don't worry". but then he said "why ur that eagar to see me?" So i told him i know he is busy and that i miss him. I asked about his week and he said "so so im a little depressed" Told him im always there for him he just said "k". Was getting late, i had to go bed, but he said "ur leaving already"? then i said i'd stay with him online and that i be there for him , then he says "why do you like me so much?" I told him i like who he was. I loved his essence, good man, work hard, helps his friends. I asked if he wanted to hear more but he said "that ok

Sounds like he may be "finding himself". People sometimes get depressed when they begin to feel their lives are not in their control. And when they realize they don't have control they begin questioning what it is about them that is lacking that makes things so out-of-control.

He wants company, but wonders why you like him. He doesn't like something about himself right now and is figuring out how to make it better, how to "fix it". Men are fixers. Depression can result from a man not knowing how to "fix it".

If he really is a good man, just stick by him. It can get a bit annoying, though, so you may need to just give him a swift kick in the pants if it goes on too long. Tell him to stop pouting, pick himself up and like himself for the person he is.

Wow you need to find out whats going on ... communication is very imp in a healthy relationship ... considering the fact that he is 24 he is mature enough to pick up on signs as to how he should act.

Having said that you also need to realise that when guys falls for a girl they fall hard ... I think he might have just needed a reassurance. If he continues doing this I think you should conclude that there is trouble in paradise and confront him about it. Even though he hates it he is going to have ot talk abt it sooner or later and its better sooner as it could be too late if he just waited.

Let me ask what it is you are getting out of this relationship. Both need to give and both need to get and, from this little scenario, you aren't getting much. If you don't need much, keep doing what you are doing but I'd hope you'd think about how this is going to be sufficient over the long term.
To me, his "why do you like me so much?" indicates he doesn't feel worthwhile, loveable, worthy of you. That is not good.

It seems he doesn't deserve you. You give him everything and be so nice and you don't get anything in return. That conversation, his attitude was so cold and indifferent and the questions he asked were so weird.

Seems to me he doesn't appreciate a good woman. Find a good man who will appreciate and reciprocate.
