Just do what makes YOU happy! That's whats most important. Don't chefs make good money? Your mom should be proud that you EVEN have a plan for you life. You have my support if that's any comfort for you :o)

I don't understand why she would discourage you from wanting to be a chef? There is a lot of money and happiness to be had in doing that. If that is really what you want you want to do, then you should do it. If you don't you will always wonder "if only I had done that" GO FOR IT. Now, wheres my eggs Benedict?

sturdy determination. till you turn 18 you could attempt to prepare the religion as much as attainable. does not propose substitute right into a thoroughly non secular non secular Muslim off the bat, as a results of fact of your situation. when you turn 18 then you certainly would be waiting to do what you like and would prepare freely. i comprehend no longer being an exceedingly non secular Muslim is haram, yet Allah will truthfully comprehend as a results of fact he's the main merciful. yet do convert with the aid of one million) accepting Allah is the only God and there is no different God in any respect... 2) Muhammad(PBUH) became into the final messenger of god. there's a prayer you assert to declare this in Arabic that's the form you exchange. "l. a. Illaha illal l. a. Muhammado Rasul Allah." this implies what i mentioned above. Say this along with your heart and voila. you're a Muslim.

It really doesn't matter what she wants you to be, it is your life and should do anything that you have a passion about. Stick to what makes you happy, it is her job to do what she wants with her life, not yours now, if you are an adult, set your boundries with her and do as you wish with a career that you will be doing. If you wind up with some boring job acting like a robot, you will loose your passion for life. Live it up

it sucks but keep in mind your mom will probably be paying for alot of your education and she wants to make sure that you will do something that will lead to financial stability.

believe it or not, you have a better chance of getting a job as a bartender than getting one as a chef.

MAybe she feels that you can do better? Either way, that's not her decision to make. It's yours.

I love to cook too, but I decided not to pursue it as a career. I fear that once I do it for money and it becomes the means for profit, I might grow to not like it anymore.

But that's just me. Follow your heart.

Dont worry about that. If you really want to be a chef then you shouldnt let anything get in your way.

No way! If it's a dream of yours, don't give it up.
Be sure to listen to people's comments and critique on your cooking and such, but if it's just something like that, then don't take it to heart.
It's your job to follow your dreams and choose your path in life, no one else's. If it's something you really wanna do, then do it. Don't hold back.

That means that you have yet to prove yourself. Perhaps you dont finish what you start. Do what you want to do and get it DONE! Dont worry what others think, at the end you'll be living the life you choose, no one else.
