i have been with this guy for 3 weeks and he never contacts me so i have had enough and want to break up with him.

Do it yourself, with that person. Be open, fair, kind and honest about breaking up.

Text message, email, post-its or calling someone are all definite NO-NOs when breaking up with someone(unless it was a long-distance relationship. There is no good way to break up with a person because ultimately someone gets hurt. I do think the best way to minimise complications is to do it face-to-face.

If he doesn't contact you, then you should do it in person. Just go up to him sometime without his or your friends around and just say,"Look, I'm not really enjoying this as much as I thought I would. We're over." I had a boyfriend that I went out with for 7 WHOLE MONTHES! He was my first boyfriend. He didn't like to hang around me and he didn't like to contact me, so we broke up. As it turns out, he wanted it to end to, he just didn't want to say anything. Chances are, your guy feels the same. Good luck!

Depends on a lot of things - how long you've been going out, how serious it is, what the reasons are... But if you've been going out a while, tell them in person and tell the truth.
