Gen 12:1 And Jehovah had said to Abram, Go out from your land and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to the land which I will show you.
Gen 12:2 And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing.
Gen 12:3 And I will bless those who bless you, and curse the one despising you. And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.

Unfortunately, because of unbelief, Israel of the flesh could not inherit that promise. That is why the first covenant failed. See the book of Hebrews as to why the second covenant was necessary. This second covenant was based on Jesus Christ and because of his righteousness we who are his followers can surely obtain the promises originally given to physical Israel in the old testament.

There are two Israels in the new testament, and Israel of the flesh and an Israel of faith. It is to this second Israel which has a circumcision of the heart and not of the flesh that the promises will be given. This spiritual Israel is comprised of all who are Christ's Jews and Gentiles alike in one man with Christ as the head. Please don't make God out to be a racist who favors one nationality over all others.
