MC is right thats how i learned italian just watched italian movies with no subtitles. But the thing is MC that in Italy they dont have American movies with subtitles they insert italian voices to the American movies.

I can I can..... know a bit of Italien ... its just like English but u speak really really slowly ... thats what I do on hols anyway and it seems to work.

clara, secondo me dovresti guardare film in lingua inglese... quando sono venuta in italia, era durante l'estate, e la televisione mi ha aiutato molto con le parole e la loro pronuncia
