I want to mold some items I do not want to use gum paste or fondant. But I have no idea if you can put royal icing in a silicone mold. Does it work? Will they break when you try to get them out?

It should. I don't see why it wouldn't work, though it may take a while for the icing to dry and harden. You could always put it in a low oven (maybe 200F? You wouldn't want to brown the sugar...) for a while to speed up the drying process.
