Well you and your best friend should have a different relationship than him and his girlfriend. Now if you were best friends with this guy and YOU were a guy, it would be a little different because those kind of friendships are usually totally separate and indifferent. But I'm assuming by your user picture/screenname that you're a girl. Though I doubt your best friend cares more about her than you, I wouldn't be surprised if he was being careful around you. He doesn't want his girlfriend to think that you're getting a little too close or something so he might seem that way. But that would only be to keep his girlfriend from getting suspicious or jealous. I wouldn't go assuming that he cares more about her than you because that's putting a lot of pressure on him. Don't worry so much! Good luck! =)

It's a totally different kind of relationship. He probably cares about you both just as much but in different ways. His relationship with his girlfriend is priority though. If you want to keep him as a friend I wouldn't make waves about it. Just accept that's how things are when you have a significant other.

I don't think that she should be more important. Unless they are gonna get married, and U can tell that they truly are gonna be together for a while, then no. Best friends before the girl friends. They will come and go, but U will always be there for him. Good luck!

Sorry but you are just a friend. A girlfriend on the other hand is a bit more intimate.

If he is just your best friend why would you care? Or is there more to this story?

Depends on how serious their relationship is. If it is a new relationship, I think not. But if they are in a long relationship and are really close, then yes, he should. That's a fact of life. Don't be jealous or anything, that only makes the situation worse.

well he shouldn't do anything mean to you because of his girlfriend. But think about it, if he cared more about you than his girlfriend... shouldn't you be the girlfriend

grow up, of course he does as well he should. it's really hard when you're the opposite sex of you best friend. I've lost many of them due to the new woman in their life, it really hurts both of you, when you guy friend comes over with his tail between his legs saying SHE doesn't want us to be friends any more. but you do get to be there when they break up and you get to kick his *** until the next bimbo comes along
