3 of my kids were born at 36 wks 2 days, 36 weeks 5 days, and 36 weeks 5 days. Weights were 5 pounds 9.8 ounces for 2 and 5lbs 12 0z for one. All had jaundice but one had to be seen by dr two days after leaving hospital. Another one was left under the warming lamp. 36 weeks gestation or earlier. There are 3 degrees of prematurity based on how early the baby is. From 37 weeks on the baby is considered full term.

Technically anything before 38 weeks is considered pre-term, but generally babies under 36 weeks need the special care of a preemie.
