I got a copy of my credit report from the car lot who did a credit check. I've found all but one of the people I owe, and i cant get help from equifax because you have to purchase a report to get their customer service number. How do I find this last collection?

Usually, if a collection is unnamed, it's a confidential type of collection. Most of the time it's a medical bill or sometimes an attorney fee - basically anything that's a privelaged relationship. If nothing comes to mind, you can try 800-685-5000. It's an equifax line, but I don't know how far you'll get without one of their reports. Good luck!

You can contact the company whom you owe the money to directly and get the details from them. They may not have sent it to collections. Another suggestion is to put a fraud alert on your credit (it's never a bad idea) and when you do so, all three beauros offer you a free detailed credit report.
