At a restraunt the other day, I remarked that a friend was going to get sick putting the amount of sugar that he did in his iced tea (four packets). He claimed that the Coke I was drinking (roughly 12oz) had a lot more sugar in it than all the sugar he was adding to his iced tea. Is this true? Just how much sugar does coke have in it, and how much sugar is in a typical sugar packet?

in general coke has more sugar than ice tea but then again if your friend is putting in 4 packets of sugar in his ice tea, they ae about the same. also ice tea has as much caffeince as coke, even some people dont think so.
tell your friend to be careful. mostly all teas especially ice tea have sugar already and be adding more, it will only increase more.
