As a Christian who has not expressed my beliefs in the way that you have described, I must say that your tone was greatly unappreciated. You are accusing some forceful religous people of exactly what you are doing in your question. When I read your question, I sensed hostility and hatred. How is that supposed to make me see things your way? My greatest apologies if I have failed in my attempted avoidance of sounding the same way.

To me, religion is nothing but a set of rules and laws. Instead, I have a relationship with God. He has taught me to be in the world, but not of it. Some Christians have failed on this aspect and have accidentaly immersed themselves in the culture, resulting in the intolerance, hostility, and hatred which you have described.

It's hard to convey an emotion by using a keyboard. Maybe you thought they were coming off as intolerent and hostile, but maybe they didn't mean to. Also, I think you're being a little hateful as well here. And as for the ALL CAPS LETTERING, that's coming off as a little hostile to me.

While you may not have religion you sound just as hostile as the rest of the folks you're talking about. So who's at fault?

If you're talking about Christians, yes were intolerant. Extremely so. But we're intolerant of other practices outside our relationships with God, not the people who practice them.
