My opinion, politics has intruded on personal faith issues at the local level and hence religious groups have been forced to get involved into politics for self-defense of their beliefs.
The bill of rights goal is to allow the free expression of religion. Separation of church and state at the national level was thought as the enabler to do this at the local level. Now we are applying a national concept locally and driving religion out of all arenas, including a public display of a manger scene in a yard.
It is getting to the point that us puritans need to find a new land of freedom, where we can live and bring up our kids in the faith we believe in. The persecution is increasing. This land used to be called America.

Yes I think politicians use this to get votes. I however do not understand them placing a lifestyle choice on anyone under any circumstance. People are all created equal and should have the ability to be happy and safe.

I think bringing this up may be a sin. I will have to consult the Holy Law. Just know that the Department of Vice and Virtue has it's eye on you Jim Darwin.

I believe that politics and religion should be kept separtate. The government is always screaming about "Freedom of Speech" but they are telling us we can not pray in public. The way I see it if I have the freedom of speech, I am going to pray and talk about God when and where I want.

yes, but they don't care. they're more concerned with rallying their ignorant voting base.school prayer in particlar is a dead issue. the high courts have ruled against it for decades, the only people concerned about it are politicians trying to posture for their religious nutjob voters.

From my observations they are hypocrites to begin with... they just love to use their wedge issues to rally other hypocrites to further their agendas and make them rich in the process.

Nah, I pretty much think that politicians are trying to do what they think is right, at least for the most part. The problem is that politics can cloud their vision.

"What are the excuses/motives of/for arising religions?" a faith provides you a measurable survival benefit to its participants. style of like how an ant colony advantages from communal habit, and the member ants do better positive too (on accepted). "What intrigues the most appears the excuses scientology changed into created?" LSD. almost were given one with "Stranger In a wierd Land", yet Heinlein's spouse kiboshed that, if Heinlein himself could have enable the joke run on lengthy sufficient. "Are the applications themselves stated interior the religion?" no longer in one of those vast quantity of words. to renowned the objective, is to think about options, and then motives of a artwork it incredibly is many times attributed to God, yet is truly penned by ability of guy. "Is enlightenment of the Buddha a reason for faith," Buddha does no longer say so... "only as a lot relativity of Einstein is the reason for the present status of physics?" Enlightenment is particularly equivalent to revelation, it incredibly is actual. we may be in a diverse position without Einstein, for certain. If faith did not disallow homosexuality and abortion, international populations could be a million/tenth what they are at the moment. on account that Earth is suffering lower than better residing, quivering meat than this planet has ever considered in heritage, faith is killing the planet. So faith very a lot shapes the international at the moment. And technology is straining to save us all alive...

Politicians will do anything for votes...well, they will "promise" anything for votes. The people do not see that they are being manipulated, and the politicians do not care about them.
