Look at Bill gates you think looks are part of that equation? In that case money, but anyways, personality is where it is at. If your souls can not match up it dont matter what you look like, ask all the celebrities the 'pretty people' if looks matter or connecting does.
And get some friends that are girls and let them help you on a personal level. They may become girlfriends in the more traditional sense, but it really matters what you are looking for. I am no looker, not even close, but I know how to charm them and let my personality show. I am on wife number two (no not like that it would be hard to type then) and had lots of opportunities to have not settled down with her if that was what I wanted.

In my opinion looks are the first thing that attracts one person to another. But in the end it is the personality that makes it last. At least until another "looker" comes along with a great personality.

Personality will definitely do the job, but you have to know how to use it. I'm presuming that by having a 'great personality', you must be a pretty good conversationalist.
If you understand conversation enough to be good at it, surely you know how to manipulate a conversation... to bring it where you want it to go. That's a very handy tool.

Honestly, the first thing we notice is looks. But what keeps me around is the personality. If your not totally ugly, you have a chance with any girl. As long as you have the personality to make up for the looks you dont have.

personality, but still looks count at some point. again if you really make the lady fall for you, then she will see you beautiful, that happened to me a few times

personality! true it does help if they are good looking
but id choose a guy who wasnt the best looker but cared for me than a hot guy who never speaks to me and has his head so far up his 4ss he can tickle his throat with his tash!

Well an average guy with a great personality goes far. But a repulsive guy with a great personality is "like my brother"!!

Get to know a girl first and maybe she'll fall in love with your personality, don't worry you'll meet someone, it's better for someone to be attracted to your personality. Like i'm glad i've got small boobs because i don't want this to be the first thing they look at. ;-)

well, there has to be a balance. If you're not horribly disformed and you have a great personality, than you'll get girls. If you're hot and you're an @ss, you'll get girls, but only superficial ones. I don't mind if a guy isn't over-endowed in the looks category if we click.
