It's been a while since I've encountered it, but here's my recollection.
Satanists don't worship Satan, and from what I understand many don't believe in Satan. Satanists believe in gratification through personal means, mentally or physically, and believe that they are only responsible to themselves. I do remember that it was founded by Anton LeVay, who had a misunderstanding of the word devil and thought it meant something about a goddess. (Devil is sanskrit originally, but used traditionally with greek reference in which it refers to an angel that has rejected holiness.) Satan, on the other hand is hebrew for transgressor.
Satanists believe indulgence over abstinence, and as such think that instead of abstaining from any type of pleasure, they should indulge it because it feels good. They believe that sins are things that make us feel good, and should be followed after rather than restrained. (I'm not sure how you reconcile that with consequences for sins). There are some moral laws that I actually had to look up, and won't mention them because I didn't know them already, but they don't all make sense to me in regards to Satanic beliefs.
I know more about LeVay than I do about the Church of Satan, but that's another topic. Why do you ask?

Satanism is a term that may refer to a religious, semi-religious, and/or philosophical movement. The term is normally applied by non-Satanists to those individuals who worship the entity called "Satan," and advocate the triumph of evil forces over good in the universe; however, members of the Church of Satan, the most organized Satanic group, reject this common association, as they do not actually believe in a being called "Satan," and use his name only as a symbolic allusion to certain materialistic and individualistic values. Adherents of the various forms of Satanism recognize Satan as either an archetype, a pre-cosmic force, an actual living entity, and/or some aspect of human nature.

Aside from various acoutriments that movies usually bestow on "Satanists," if, as I have examined, aside from the form I were to simply state the core belief that I perceive, whereas Judeo-Christian religions are concerned with a "heaven"/"hell" in the hereafter (read Heaven, Celestial Kingdom, Sheol, or any other name used) and ascribe to certain beliefs and functions to arrive at the desired "destination," the concept of "Satanism" as I understand it is the reverse - living in the "here and now" as if there is no tomorrow, and would appear as formal Hedonism in a non-religious setting (read church, temple, synagogue), but would differ in purpose and belief structure from Hedonism.

I get demise threats from "well" Christians for being probably the most historic faiths. Too the various Christians surely do NOT recognize my ideals and proper to non secular self decision and the honoring of my possess tradition's conventional religion. I suspect while you requested approximately "different religions" they simply assumed you supposed "different denominations of Christianity". They normally lump us Heathenfolk, the Pagans and Wiccans in with Satanists. Also, the vast majority of Christians don't observe that the vast majority of Satanists are atheists who use "Satan" as a metaphor for guy's actual nature and even the character of nature itself. Theistic Satanists are nonetheless rather infrequent, however developing in quantity. I can see why the Christians would not like them. Theistic Satanists say Satan is the well man and YHWH is the evil one and are very well at making use of the bible to end up their factor. A lot of "Christians" have certainly not even learn the entire factor, allow by myself studied it. That has obtained to sting while you stumble upon any individual wearing a bible and uncover out they no longer simplest use it higher than your Christer self, however they "recognize" that Jehovah is evil. Unsurprisingly, I uncover that totally a laugh.

Seriously, it is just worship of another person since there is no one Satan that presides over the hells. Would you pledge yourself to another person? That is what it is like - slavery.
"It has been believed heretofore in the world that there is one devil that presides over the hells; that he was created an angel of light; but having become rebellious he was cast down with his crew into hell. This belief has prevailed because the devil and satan, and also lucifer, are mentioned by name in the Word, and the Word in those places has been understood according to the sense of the letter. But by "devil" and "satan" there hell is meant, "devil" meaning the hell that is behind, where the worst dwell, who are called evil genii; and "satan" the hell that is in front, where the less wicked dwell, who are called evil spirits; and "lucifer" those that belong to Babel, or Babylon, who would extend their dominion even into heaven. That there is no one devil to whom the hells are subject is evident also from this, that all who are in the hells, like all who are in the heavens, are from the human race (see n. 311-317); and that those who have gone there from the beginning of creation to this time amount to myriads of myriads, and every one of them is a devil in accord with his opposition to the Divine while he lived in the world" (Heaven and Hell n. 544).

At 1 Corinthians 10:20, the apostle Paul warned Christians: "I do not want you to become sharers with the demons." Just who are the demons, and why is it so dangerous to get involved with them? Simply put, the demons are former angels, who have chosen to follow Satan the Devil. Satan means "Resister" and Devil means "Slanderer." According to the Bible, this former angelic son of God made himself a resister and a slanderer by choosing to rebel against God. In time, he enticed other angels to join him in his rebellious course. These allies thus became demons.—Genesis 3:1-15; 6:1-4; Jude 6.
Jesus called Satan "the ruler of this world." (John 12:31) Satan and his demons have "great anger" over their impending destruction. (Revelation 12:9-12) Not surprisingly, those who have become involved with the demons have found them to be vicious. One woman in Suriname who grew up in a family that practiced spiritism saw firsthand how the demons "enjoy torturing their unwilling victims."# Getting involved with these cruel spirit creatures in any way is thus extremely dangerous!

There are probably dozens of different religious belief systems and practices that have been called "Satanism." Dialog on the topic is almost impossible because there is such variability in the meaning of "Satanism" and "Satanist."
Do you mean that you read the Satanic Bible? If that is your definition you are by no means evil.

God created Satan as an angel. Satan was jealous of God's power and started a "coup" up in heaven where he was defeated by Michael the Archangel and the other angels on God's side. God allowed Satan to tempt us humans here on Earth in an attempt to win souls over to himself, but will eventually be defeated in the end and vanquished to hell with all of the souls who choose to follow him instead of God.

I know that they don't know who Jesus Christ is, and Jesus said that "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the father, but through me. Jesus also said that unless you are born again you will not see the kingdom of God. Repent of your sins, and put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ, or you will surely perish.
