I have formula in a cell that calculates a total. I also want that total to appear on another sheet without cutting and pasting or retyping it every time. The second sheet is still within the same EXCEL document, it's just on another tab.

Formula to reference to another worksheet within another workbook is simple. Lets say your total is on sheet 2 but you want it to display on sheet 1.

Formula in Cell A1 on Sheet 1: =Sheet2!A1

Yes, you can group the tabs (pages) so that we can "drill" the formula through to the rest of the pages in the group.
If there is only one formula that you want then you just build a reference into the cell on the next page.
