We should stay in Iraq until they have a stable democratic govt, and the means to protect it from internal and external threats. Or, we are asked to leave by their elected govt. Why is everyone so upset about our military still being in Iraq. Are you all completely unaware that we are still in Germany, Japan and Korea?? Why are we not calling for a withdrawl of those troops?

We have no choose. Due to the Bush Administrations incompetence, what should have taken maybe 5 years, is no going to last longer. Billions of dollars that were suppose to aid in the Iraqi reconstruction has vanished and the gentleman in charge received a promotion to the World Bank. The infrastructure was in place to make it an easy transition, but they screwed that up too. They tried to install Chalabi as a puppet ruler, but the Iraqis didn't even know who he was. Chalabi, by the way, was convicted in Jordon for embezzlement. Funny that huh?

Bush screwed up and now we have to elect someone to fix his mess.
