What products do you use besides shampoo? Maybe different chemicals are mixing and setting off an odor.

Try using mint scented shampoo. Go to the salon and have your hair professionally washed. Maybe the stylist could make some suggestions if the odor doesn't go away. The stylist would also be able to see if you have anything unusual on your scalp.
Medications can cause unfavorable results with hair and skin. They affect perm and hair color results.

Maybe you should ask a hair stylist if they have ideas.
I was going to sarcastically tell you to shower, but apparently, you already do that.
Try lots of perfume/cologne, or just find a new shampoo. Sometimes, small amounts of baking soda mixed in with shampoo can cut down on smell and grease/oil buildup.

Well washing your hair actually takes the natural nutrient thing out of your hair. Also. As you walk through the streets. Dirt gets stuck to your hair since its wet. That is why the smell of the shampoo is going away

Are you a smoker? That makes everything smell bad. Do you have an oily scalp? If so, you would need a normalizing shampoo. Product build-up? See your stylist for a once a week clarifying shampoo.

If you have been using a hair straightener you could have burnt your hair. Even if you don't use the straightener all the time ,if the hair is already burnt you could be smelling it even though you wash your hair. You get what I mean? Go to a salon and ask them what you could do.

Yeah, you didn't mention if you are a smoker. Cigarette smoke will make anybody's hair smell bad no matter how often they shampoo with even the sweetest smelling shampoo.

maybe you can try shampooing twice. do you use conditioner? that can help with the smell.
what exactly is the smell anyway? like dirty hair smell? or is it like the smell of your environment (smoke, fish, etc. are harder to wash out). you might try using tomato sauce if it's really bad.

I don't know. But...you can always use some good conditioning spray while your hair is still wet/damp.
