No, having a marriage is a symbol that you will unconditionally love your spouse. If you are cheated on, that's your spouse making your love conditional which isn't what marriage is suppose to be, it's like having a contract saying I will be married to you but cheat on you with someone else.

Umm, the bible says that this is a valid reason for leaving your spouse, one of the only valid reasons for divorce in the bible. However, if your spouse wants forgiveness and is willing to change and reconcile then I think you might have some pause to listen to your heart/God and find out what direction He wants you to take. However, if your spouse is not willing to leave his/her new parnter then you should feel free to move on. Good luck and God bless.

The Bible says that it is cause for divorce. Not that you have to do it. With counselling & prayer you can heal this tragedy. But you both have got to want it r-e-a-l-l-y bad. It's gonna take alot of work....and still there are no guarentees.

It says that is an acceptable grounds for divorce. It does not say leave them. You should first try to work it out with them and go to counseling, but if all else fails, then yes, it says you can leave them for adultery.

NO IT DOES NOT. THOUGH THE BIBLE DOES SAY IF THE UNBELIEVER WANTS TO LEAVE THEN, LET THEM LEAVE. GOD DOES NOT ENCOURAGE DIVORCE. IN FACT THE BIBLE SAYS HE DESPISES IT. JUST BECAUSE WE AS HUMANS CHOOSE TO DISHONOR OUR MARRIAGE DOES NOT MEAN THAT GOD DOES. THE MARRIAGE IS STILL VALID IN HIS EYES. THE BIBLE ALSO GIVES PERMISSION TO SEPERATE SO THAT YOU MAY COME TOGETHER AGAIBN. THOUGH THE SEPERATION MUST ME DONE TO GET YOUR GUYS HEAD ON STRAIGHT AND TO EVALUATE WHAT YOU WANT IN THIS MARRIAGE. It doesn't say to leave them, it says you have the right to leave them and it wouldn't be wrong in God's eyes.
