You are very young to be dating. That's probably why your guy got grounded. At 13, you shouldn't be worried about boyfriends. Why not be friends with him for a while - hang out and do things as friends. Hang out in groups of friends or have an older brother or sister take you places.
And why in the world would your mom make fun of you? Has she done that before? If so, that is cruel.

I'm not gone grill u on da age thing okay. Yeah he may have got grounded for telling his mom about u two, but how do u kno if ur mom will react da same way? U should just tell her dat u are 13 and is still growing, tell her dat u are old enough to start hangin out around boys and dat she shouldn't have to worry about u. she'll deny it at the beginning, but she give in sooner than u think.
*Good Luck!*

Well I think you should tell her. I find no harm, you guys don't go to the same school. If you are responsible and do what you are told then I find no problem with you having a boyfriend. Your mom and his mom need to meet and talk to each other about how they feel and they need to talk to you and your boyfriend, because the more they try to keep you guys apart the more you are gonna disobey them and get into trouble. And that was no reason to ground that boy. I see no problem with ya'll going out shaperoned or public. As long as ya'll are not trying to have sex it would be an okay.

Ask the boy to come over and meet your Mom. Let your Mom talk and get to know him a bit. He can then ask if it's ok for the two of you to go out.
Any parent will appreciate an old fashioned young man, that will ask a parent for permission to take out their daughter.

You should tell your mom how you feel about this boy and let her know that you are serious about him. Maybe she will understand. Ask her how she knew when she found the right guy. That will let her know you are serious. Tell her that he got grounded for asking his mom and let her know that you haven't already asked because of the fear of getting in trouble.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about. It's only a movie, maybe dinner, think about how silly you're acting! You're 13 and lots of 13 year olds go out on dates... no biggie!
