I really don't like this person I don't think I even want to be friends with him bec we're so different in almost everything, religion, music, hobbies, even nationality. We really can't be together. But I can't tell him because he's so nice and he really likes me, I don't wanna feel guilty by rejecting him.

Sometimes you have to be a little mean. You have to jus say, "hey im sorry to have to tell you this, but I feel that this wont work and i would like us to save us both the trouble and jus not go through with relationships."
You could still be friends with him, but if u really prefer not to then you would have to tell him something like," I choose not to be friends with you not because ur a bad person, but because i choose not to hurt you or myself."

you should tell him exactly what you wrote. Be honest and let him know that although you think that he is a great guy - there is just too many differences. He will respect your honesty - and you can stop feeling guilty over not feeling the same way.

Men should always respect honesty. Tell upfront and forward. Tell him that he's just not your type but any other women would be lucky to have him. Dont lead him on any longer because you dont wanna be stuck with a person you dont find interesting. Just tell him.

My friend went through that, and the guy she had to tell was also a close friend. Be sure you tell him in person, when doing so, make sure he knows it's nothing he did. Just let him know you two are total opposites and to you there is no connection.

I would tell him like : "Look, I like you but not the same way you like me. I don't want to hurt you but you have to know. I see you just as a friend. I'm sorry."
Even if you don't want to be his friend don't tell him because that would really set him off.

sometimes the truth hurts and if he dont understand then he will probaly not call you anymore. just explain why and he may understand and be honest.
