One of my close friends have been my stylist for the past 3 months.I couldn't find any other decent stylist with good prices.I realy don't like how she does my hair becasue the way she styles makes my head look funny.It's not that I don't think she does a good job she just never seems to braid my hair into styles that compliment my face.Every stylist has a different hand,but the work she does, doesnt seem to please me.How can I tell her without offending her and insulting her talents?

OK if she is your friend...then just be honest with her....friends should be able to talk about everything....so talk about your hair..
tell her that you don't like the way she does your hair sometimes....maybe when shes braiding your hair next time let her braid your hair in front of a mirror so you can see what she is doing and let her know what you don't like so she can make the changes while braiding your hair.....

Well i think that if she iz 1 of ur close friends than jus say the truth go up 2 her and say " I dont like how u do my hair and from now on ill start doin my own hair but thank u any wayz ! '" im pretty sure she will understand itz better than havin ur hair look funny all the time { no offense } well any way i hope best 4 ur friend ship good luck !!!

First, find a style that you like and would compliment you.
Then bring a picture and tell her, that you're ready for a change, or to try something new.
Tell her you saw this style - show her the picture- and say you'd like to try it.
Ask if she can do it for you.
This way you're not making her wrong and she still does your hair, just the way you want it to be done.
And if half way through it looks like she's not getting it, just say that maybe she can do a little change to make it more like what you had in mind.
And keep it light - she's your friend and she will want to please you.

I'd use what my band director calls PSP it stands for praise, suggestion, praise. Ex. You're a really good stylist, but i was wondering if you could do my braids a little different. You've been doing such a good job.

its your hair and your the one that has to walk in the streets with it. u could probably find a cute style for a mag. and suggest it to her? but just be nice about it and be thankful that u have such a nice friend to do your hair<333

Don't actually say that you don't like the way she does it. Instead, be negative by being positive. If you know the way you want it to look, just tell her that you had an "inspiration" and could she please do it this way, cuz you think it would look really good.

Well if she truly is your friend she won't take it so hard if you don't like it just say...Im sorry but i really don't like the way you do my hair...say it in the sweetist way possible to not hurt her
