how people that want free or cheap dogs/cats are next saying "my dog/cat is sick or injured and i can't afford a vet.....oh what do i do?"

What I noticed is that some people want free animals but are not responsible pet owners. In our town it is actually less expensive to adopt at the SPCA than to get a free pet and then take to the vet for all the shots and spay/nueter etc.

Yepper! Absolutely NO ONE should own a dog, or any tye of pet for that matter, if they cannot provide the adequate medical care when the animal is sick. A pet is not just a toy. It needs shots, food, etc. to remain healthy. I honestly hope people think about this before they take an animal into their house. Vet bills can be very expensive.
