I asked this because on the lovebird books it says that oil from cooking and any smell, chemicals is a problem.....My mom cooks alot so when she cooks my lovebird will smell it, is that a problem or should i just move it back to my room?

i would move them back into your room. birds are very sensitive to things it the air, specifically, teflon pans when heated emit a poisonous gas

Be careful when using nonstick cookware. If it overheats it produces fumes. The fumes probably aren't good for anybody but birds are particularly affected by them and can become ill or even die. I would imagine that the closer you are to the kitchen, the more concentrated any such fumes would be.
