People respond to alcohol in very different ways, so you can't generalize by saying that all people react the same way to an intoxicant.
Also, the different phases during the alcohol overload create varying effects.
Affectionate is one of them, some of the others are..
Eloquence
Friendly
Happy
Affectionate.
Intelligent (depending on who the judge is)
Loud
Boring
Repetitive
Maudlin
Belligerent
Hostile
Anger
Physical anger
Lose the power of speech
Comatose
Violently ill.
However, if your partner hangs in there with you, even after an evening of all of the above.
Then you may have something going that will work.

Founder of what? Alcohol makes the heart do many things but to grow truly founder - I don't think so.

Alcohol gets you pumped up...then depresses you. In other words,it's a depressant. I dont know about the heart thing.

take an extremely horny person, mix with a 12 pack and you'd be amazed how fond the heart grows even with the ugliest of toads!

Red wine is good for your heart because of a substance called tannins. Any other distilled alcohol (tequila, vodka, rum, etc) is no good for anything other than getting you drunk.
