Depends on your attitude. I was ok, and even had some fun. We did a great job, worked hard, supported our country and our families, and even helped a complete stranger (by this analogy I mean a country) find the start of a new path in life. I'll go back again if needed. Or anywhere else I feel I can help for that matter! Funny thing I noticed though, I never heard, even just once, of an Iraqi asking me to leave, only the media in the rest of the world, and populations and governments of other countries that thought killing kurds was fun and fair.

What about the depleted uranium munitions the coalition forces used? I'd think uranium dust in your lungs and all over everything in sight would suck a bit more than heat and flies..

no way, everyone secretly wants an all expense paid vacation to the eternal sandbox where beliefs are archaic, people are so repressed they don't know what to do with their new found freedom, women are raped and killed for their families mistakes, where it storms sand instead of snow, and someone could pop a cap up your *** at any moment. Sounds like my idea of heaven!!!

My brother didn't really do much complaining, when he came back, except he did mention the sand storms! But, he has put in a request to go back and help finish the job with his Platoon!

It had it's moments. for the most part, living in ever lasting sand storms was not much of a fiesta.
