Absolutely. If someone would treat an animal who gives unconditional love, then how would they treat someone who can speak their mind. Pets are innocent animals who rely on their "humans" to care for and protect them. My rule is if you don't like my dogs, then I don't like you. Period. Also, most serial killers show a strong past of animal mistreatment and abuse. What's that tell ya?

I am not defending animal cruelty in any form, but dogs in China are mostly wild, like our raccoons. Rabies there is a death sentence for people, lack of medicine and hospitals. When dogs have rabies they get sick and die, a horrible death. It is really more humane to kill them if they show any signs of the disease.
Please keep in mind that you live in a very advanced culture here in the U.S. Read a little about China, before you condemn them.
They are not up to speed yet.
How can you judge anything, when you don't know anything. Most people know nothing about what they talk about. I hope that your age is a factor in this question. Although I know many adults who think the same way.
Sad.

While I am likely to judge a person on their treatment on animals, I would never judge an entire nation that way. It is illogical and unfair.
Someone mentioned eating dogs... many people eat pigs, which are extremely intelligent animals (more so than dogs). Many people also eat chickens, cows and sheep. What makes one more worthy than the other? I personally would never eat dog for my own moral issues, but I would never judge anyone that did. As I am CURRENTLY a meat eater, that would make me a hypocrite.

In the US millions upon millions of dogs are killed every year in shelters, just because no one wants them. CNN says China is planning to kill about 500,000 dogs, while the US killed about 4 million last year. So obviously we are by far the worse of the lot. At least the Chinese don't pretend to care for their animals.
FYI there are very few vets in China, if they even exist and all the money that China makes goes to supporting fat politicians and their Rolls Royce. Very few money is used to help the public.

Yes you can judge someone by the way they treat animals, people abuse animals because they are angry at themselves, and I agree it is a horrible thing, they should just give them shots instead of ending their lives because they MIGHT have a disease. Animal cruelty is a terrible thing, it has to be put to an end!

It's probably cheaper for them to kill them on the street than take them to a facility and euthanize them the humane way. I think that any abuse to animals is atrocious, but then again, they eat dogs in China. China is grossly over-populated and very, very dirty. No wonder the flu started there.

It is terrible! I feel that maybe some people should adopt them and give them rabies shots! I feel that people shouldnt kill living things just because of there needs, especially if that living thing is a "Mans best friend!"
