lol...yes it is normal especially in younger cats or kittens, i have 4 kittens right now that do that 24/7, when i kept my kittens in the house my kittens would get under the bed and when i walk by they would attack my feet, all of my cats act like that but normally as they get older the bursts of energy and playfulness goes bye bye and they become lazy, so enjoy the little bursts of energy while they last=D

Yup. My cat did that for all 15 years of her life. & I've heard alot of other people say the same thing about theirs. It's kinda freaky- but it might well BE a way for them to burn off energy, or relieve stress, or frustration- or something like that. Maybe that's a behavior that's particularly common to housecats- as opposed to ones that are allowed outside. Does anyone out there know?

Yes it's completely normal. One of my cats, who is a little over a year old does that too. And night time is their time.

Its normal. My cats do the same thing. One of my cats takes it a step further. He'll stare at you and when you make eye contact with him he'll take off running into the other room. When you catch up to him in the other room, he'll pounce on your ankles, but without using his claws. Too cute.

Yes, we call it "The Zoomers", or chasing the invisible mouse again. We also have one that stares at a spot on the wall, just when you get up to go take a look at "it" she gets up and leaves. Kinda like "made you look, ha ha ha...If you are talking about a cat, if it's weird behavior, it's normal.

Yes, cats sleep 14-18 hours a day. When they are awake they are usually active. He is either in hunting mode or play mode and it is completely normal. They get hyper just like you can. You should play with them more.

This is normal, especially for a younger cat. Ours do this too - they suddenly go ripping around the house, with no obvious goal in mind. When this happens in our house, we say "Peanut has the rips again"
