I'm guessing you start with the skateboard held totally still and lure the dog onto it with treats and praise. When they're comfortable standing on it, try moving it a little bit at a time until they get used to that without jumping off. Then try standing behind them on the skateboard and pushing it along with your foot.

Go very slowly. I'm sure it's just like teaching the dog any other trick. Just be careful that your dog doesn't fall off and hurt themselves. Also, don't do this on the street where drivers won't be able to see him. The other thing I can think of is to put the skateboard away when he's not being trained. Otherwise, he might climb on it to get treats and wind up somewhere you don't want him to be.

My son made his dog ride the moto scooter....
dog ... +boy seemed to enjoy it.

My son is out now or I would have him tell you, how he did it.

Best idea; is get on board yourself,
with your great dane between your legs.

It will be a while before he pushes on one foot...
try going down hill. It is easier.. be sure and haver your friends admire him,,, chunks of meat.. reward sytem, or piece of your chocolate--share.. Good lesson for you too. Take pics for his dog house walls.

Have him get used to traffic... right away!

The family that rides together = goes together.

sorry there was no laugh machine-for others.
