Prepared French Onion dip, like you buy in small bowls in the store, is a fantastic topping for baked potatoes! Try it sometime.
The dry soup mix is fantastic when tossed with the oil of your choice in a baking dish with chunks of potatoes.
The recipe:
Preheat oven to 450
4-6 potatoes, peeled and chunked
1/3 cup olive oil
1 packet onion soup mix (I only use low sodium)
Peel and cut potatoes into medium sized chunks.
Place in a shallow baking dish.
Toss with oil and onion soup mix.
Bake at 450 for 40 minutes, or until desired doneness. Stir potatoes, now and then, for even cooking.
For fun you can add cooked meats, or other veggies you like.
