um...well, for starters, how about move out & start paying your own rent, buying & cooking all your own food, buy all your own clothes, and pay all your medical expenses. Then you can buy whatever phone you want, and they can't do anything about it. Until then...seriously, it's a phone. Get over it.

That's sad!

Like, they should have thought at least that you managed to raise money for it. My parents would have been proud of me if I did what you did. its your money! Buy the phone any ways, if you still have the money. Only keep it on silent mode at home, and rush to bathroom when you want to talk.

Why did they do it though? IF you can't buy it now why not Stop talking to them? **** man! This sucks. I would never talk to my parents again if they did it to me. When you are old enough, you can move out??? Till then, you'll have to play by their rules, and it seems your parents like to make new rules as they play.

MODIFY: I got another idea!!! Appeal to the highest authority! Your grandparents! Cry to them on the phone! They might make your parents get back to sanity?

OR you could do the follow the rules strike!___ Like you leave notes on the table, that from now on you are going to follow all the rules( BE the good girl, wellbehaved and all), but, a-you are not gonna talk to them again, b- you are not going to accept them as your parentsor acknowledge them, and if anyone ever asks you who your parents are, you'll say you don't have any parents, and they are never going to see you laugh and smile in their presence, cos they were downright cruel to you???.

MODIFY AGAIN: It seems public opinion is againstme, but I don't see any parent rewarding such enterprise/hardwork with rap on the knuckles. Like, how does having a phone turn you into a shithole, as someone said above? And what best interests? Move out whenever you can, in your case, I think you'll have to wait for quite a few years for that, if I guess your age right.

But itis the unfairness that I hate, the authoritarianism. Many people think they are right when they are wrong. This person's parents are not God! They are fallible. I am old and your young I am right and you are you are wrong? This megalomania needs to be curbed among parents. They seem to want to control everything.

Did you plan on paying the monthly bill or did you expect them to? Even if you did pay the bill yourself, if you are under 18, your parents would have to sign the contract and they would be responsible for anything that happened. Sorry but I would have said no too.

You've never heard of "frustration tolerance"? They're just trying to get you ready for the real world, plus who is going to pay the cell phone bill?

You gotta accept the fact that parents suck. (Notice the full stop) When you are born, they attend special classes to ensure they make your life as miserable as possible.

becuz, they took forever to feed u and so on, they don't want u to turn into a shithole, becuase then they will have to take the credit, also they would have wasted their time. They care about you, they made you, its self explanatory if you think about it.

How old are you? They are just trying to do what they think is in your best interest.

listen to them, its not parents that are pushy, they are trying to teach you something or protect you from something,

its teens that are pushing, whining about what they cant have and cant do.
