God is what we use to explain things we don't understand

In the past, it was generally to provide an answer to questions that couldn't be answered with the limited knowledge available. At various times, the concept has been used for social control (i.e. if people think there is something out there running the show and that they will get a good afterlife, they are more likely to be quiet and do what you want them to). Also, people tend to be less scared about this journey through life if they think there is something looking out for them and providing them a purpose. At present, unfortunately, the meaning appears to be justificatory for killing.

Generally speaking, however, the meaning of God is that which man invents. After all, we created him in our image.

Some people need order and routine in their lives.

They need instructions to follow and some higher authority to guide them through life so they feel that how they are living and what they are doing is right.

Some people believe that the purpose of God is to give them ever-lasting life and that of a more peaceful life after death. it gives others hope that their beloved deceased are still out there some where watching down on them.

In conclusion, the meaning of God, to some people, is to make sure their lives are that of peaceful and continue to be peaceful after they pass away.

Hope I helped

The meaning of god differs greatly based on ones point of view.

A religious person may think that god is their purpose in life. That he created them in order to serve him.

An Atheist may see god as a murderous fictional character that inspires healthy humans to strap a bomb around their waist and detonate it in a crowd of fellow earth dwellers.

An Agnostic person may see god as something that created so much in order for us to live our lives on this beautiful blue marble.

God IS the meaning.
Could it be he shows his presence by his absence?
Could it be the questions tell us more than answers ever do?
Could it be that God would really rather die than live without us?
Could it be the only answer that means anything is You? (Michael Card)

Everything you do, touch, say, feel. Everything you observe. Everything that was ever made. Everything that was ever conceived could not have been so without Gods 'ingredients' God is in everything, everything is God.
